Daramic participates in World Environment Day by planting over 500 trees

Charlotte, NC - Daramic, LLC (http://www.daramic.com), the world’s leading manufacturer of high performance polyethylene (PE) battery separators for lead-acid batteries, actively participated in World Environment Day on June 5, 2017 by planting over 500 trees and sharing environmental artwork to generate awareness.

World Environment Day is an annual global event sponsored by the United Nations that encourages worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the environment. This year’s theme, ‘Connecting People to Nature’, challenged people across 100+ countries to get outside and into nature in order to make a positive impact on the environment.

Hundreds of Daramic employees participated in the event, which led to the planting of 500+ trees near Daramic facilities. The effort hallmarks the importance of conserving our environment in our communities and the world.
